Date: 20-Aug-01 General website news. As it seems I've become the webmaster round here.. Ok downloads page is now fully functional, in other words it now has links instead of just a list. I added the new shipset as well. A little bit of information on this set, It uses the same Kirathi ships but instead of Confed spacecraft it sports some fantastic Border Worlds ships. Which of course the most wicked is the banshee. I just loove that ship. Anyway, head over to the downloads section to grab it. Just some General house keeping on this side of things. Zone activity has been increasing over the past few days, a new set of ships is on the way, my Wing Commander sounds are now available for downloading, and I've been added to the staff as the zone's newest moderator. All of this is, of course, just a prelude to the release of our new arena. The next few weeks are going to be very exciting, so be sure to stay tuned for the latest news. That's all for now. Ok, latest news is TheMaskedMan was promoted to Smod the other day so lets hope he does a good job. Second piece of interest, someone here at WCZ decided to release another shipset.. I guess this means more and more work for everyone! Apparently we will be releasing another 2-3 shipsets covering all aspects of the WC universe and its respective time-line. Ok, So who knows about WC-Armada? The deal is that soon we will be running some events based on this area of WC. The game is going to a a timed game of turf, with the winning team being the one that owns the most territory when the timer runs out(well, so I hear anyway). The settings for the events will be the same as the pub arenas so I advise you to practise up a bit. Get your squad involved. Basically you try and capture as much of the map as possible and hold it. We will post more information as we get more organised (which could be a while knowing us). Hey, we passed 3000 hits, not bad.. But I'd like to triple that in a few months :) Guess we should update more. Ok so anyway now you know we aren't dead, just slack. For the event I'm going to try and get around 20 ppl in there at least, so it will be worth turning up, the more the merrier! .:Nameckian:.
